March 2024 gave us 28 inclusivley sized sewing patterns, and the Designer Database now holds 158 pattern designers!

As always, all patterns and designers meet the Curvy Pattern Database minimum requirements of:

1. They must meet or exceed a 60-inch (152.4cm) body hip measurement (not 59.5", not "it fits with ease")
2. The patterns must be freely purchasable on the internet without joining a closed access group (a club, Patreon, etc.) or sold exclusively within a book.

On the first Tuesday of every month at 7PM EST join me on Zoom (link in my bio, though I sometimes forget to update the name it's always the same link!) for a roundup data gathering session! It's pretty simple and makes the roundup into a 2-evening task for me. Much more manageable! Last week (on the 2nd and 3rd), I did the data gathering alone and went through all 158 designers to identify new patterns in 4.5 hours. Last week was the first time since starting this method that I didn't have help, and it's a great illustration of how just a single person impacts this so much! What does one wear to a Total Eclipse? Your cozy Sitka Sweatshirt!

We live about 1.5 hours south of totality for today's US Total Solar Eclipse, but we traveled 2.5 hours to one of our favorite northern Maine vacation spots to view the eclipse.

We've had a great weekend filled with tasty food, strange amounts of traffic for a place 20 minutes from the Canadian border, new and old acquaintances, and the friendly yard dog, Junior.

My Sitka Sweatshirt is one I made back in November for my Washington DC trip, but it just hasn't managed to get documented until now... like many of my makes in the past year plus.

I was worried about the description in this pattern claiming it was "shrunken" and I seriously debated lengthening the body and sleeves, but I'm glad I chose to just ride it out. It turned out to be exactly as I wanted - not fully sure how it's shrunken, but I'm also not going to complain.

Size: 26 bust and waist graded to 28 for hips
Fabric: tie dye part is @polartecfabric Power Fleece from @surgefabricshop and gray fabric is from the Walmart precut section.
